The moment they mentioned a lawyer, I’m not doing nothing without consulting with my own lawyer.

My grandparents split up when I was 12 and my parents didn't explain why. I kind of figured it out about a year later. Then when I was 15 I figured out some more stuff on my own and asked my mom who confirmed my suspicions. I'm not sure if grandparents rights were even a thing in the 2000's but I'm so happy I wasn't forced to spend time with him. It's been 20 years and even though he's still alive I don't still don't see him and it honestly feels like I don't have a grandfather at all. Kids always figure out whats going on and forcing them to have relationships with people they don't want to is never a great idea and I'm so thankful that my mother didn't force me to have a relationship with my grandfather after the divorce.

Why would she send a letter that her dad can easily intercept? She needs to have a face to face conversation with her grandmother, either alone or with lawyers.

there are no grandparents’ rights unless their child is deceased. Good luck.

Girl why are you dragging it? Just talk to grandma and tell her the truth its not that hard. You can’t seriously be waiting for her to call yoi before explaining and just dragging it out.
