@mr.paidsocial: I am trying to let business be business without making every result a verdict on me. This is a personal reflection on how quickly my feelings about work can change with the flow of opportunities. An exciting conversation can make everything feel possible; a quiet stretch can make the same business feel completely different. I am learning to notice that swing before treating it as the whole story. Here is a way to put that into practice: 1. Describe the event in plain language. A new conversation, a delay or a quiet inbox is a specific thing; naming it can keep it separate from a sweeping judgment about the whole business. 2. Notice the interpretation you are adding. In this clip, I talk about moving between excitement and self-doubt. Those feelings are part of my experience, not a business forecast. 3. Look at the broader picture. One promising call is not completed work, and one slow stretch does not explain everything about the direction of the business. 4. Choose the next practical action. Identify the follow-up, decision or task that is actually in front of you rather than trying to solve every uncertainty at once. 5. Make room for life beyond the result. This is a reminder I am giving myself as much as anyone else: a business can matter without defining every part of how I see myself. These are reflection prompts drawn from my own experience, not a treatment plan. The full set is here if you want to save it for a business check-in.
