Anything older than 10 years, dealers don't have to carry parts anymore. Warranty comes with new, old ones are guaranteed to break. Not defending either one, it's just a fact. And you don't want to know what body work and painting costs now.

my 98 2wd sierra 5.7 I got for 2k 3 years ago has paid itself off with work and does everything i need and I can rebuild the transmission for chump change compared to those 8-10 speed transmissions that cant be rebuilt and cost 10k or more to replace
