EP.21 | The Child They Threw Away 🌍 The Crescent of Light Adaeze kneels at a circle of engraved symbols on the stone floor and turns the brass key in a crescent-shaped lock. The circle glows, the floor opens like a stone flower, and a spiral stair leads down into blue-white light. At the bottom is a round chamber of dark metal and glowing stone, where the walls hum and thousands of tiny lights pulse like sleeping stars. On a pedestal sits a crystal the size of a fist, with a living ember at its heart. Adaeze lifts it, and Mama Ebele and the Protector stop at the foot of the stair, since the rest is for mother and daughter alone. They face each other and hold the crystal between them, and the marks on their shoulders flare gold and send two beams of light into it. Their eyes roll back and their bodies tremble as the crystal rises, spins, and bursts apart. A small crescent-shaped fragment flies to Adaeze's forehead, and a crescent of light appears there with three dots beneath it. Adaeze opens her eyes, gold and calm, and Mama Ebele and the Protector smile at each other. Then Amara sways and collapses, and Adaeze catches her and sinks to the floor in panic. Mama Ebele kneels, says she will be all right, and brushes a sprig of herb across her Oluchi wakes and Adaeze pulls her into a tight hug. #foryoupage #fyp #foryou #anime #tiktok - @ssm_animmelodies
