Any 35mm SLR by any maker is excellent. Pentax SP, Ricoh, Minolta. All excellent entry basic camera. Spend money on lenses

1, Canon ML is nice but often misses focus because of the 1.9 aperture. 2, fe2 isn't cheaper than ae1. fe is about the same price. 3, the Olympus XA/XA2 is better than the 4, and easier to find. 4, Yashica 3 or 4 isnt under $300. 5, Canon P for the win!🔥 doesn't compare to an M6 but it was made to go against the m3.
