EP.22 | The Child They Threw Away 🌍 Covered Faces Mama Ebele tells Adaeze it is done and that she is now the leader. Adaeze says she will go straight to the elders and the people, but Mama Ebele warns that she won't get past the gates, because Nnamdi's guards surround the place. Mama Ebele tells her that the flame's bearer must not kill innocent souls. The guards are Nnamdi's men, but they were only following orders. She tells Adaeze the safest way is to appear on the day of the Onwa Festival, when the whole community will be there. Nnamdi won't dare hurt her in front of everyone, and the Godmother will give her the ring and she will take her place. Adaeze vows that with eight days left she will become the rightful leader and that Nnamdi will pay. On the day of the festival, the compound is full of drums, bright wrappers and people streaming in under a banner marked with the crescent and three stars. Adaeze and Oluchi walk toward the gate wrapped in black cloth that hides their faces, with Udeh beside them. A guard stops them and orders Adaeze to remove the cloth. The Udeh steps in and says that his wife and daughter are sick and covered up so they won't affect anyone. Oluchi coughs, and the guard steps back and lets them in. #foryoupage #fyp #foryou #anime #tiktok - @ssm_animmelodies
