@francis_20_20: Sad news to share… 💔 Beloved actor Tom Skerritt has passed away at the age of 93. His family announced today, October 22, that he died of natural causes on October 21, 2026. Whether you knew him as Viper in Top Gun, Captain Dallas in Alien or Drum Eatenton in Steel Magnolias, Tom was a familiar face in so many movies we grew up watching. His work also included M*A*S*H, A River Runs Through It and Contact. On television, he earned an Emmy in 1993 for playing Sheriff Jimmy Brock in Picket Fences. Disney fans may remember him opposite Hayley Mills in The Parent Trap II, which premiered on Disney Channel in 1986. His Disney history went back even further, playing Whit Turner in Those Calloways in 1965 alongside Brian Keith, Vera Miles and Walter Brennan. Born August 25, 1933, in Detroit, Michigan, Tom leaves behind his wife, Julie Tokashiki, five children, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and everyone who loved his work. 🙏 Thank you for the movies, the memories and all those evenings spent watching. Rest in peace, Tom. ❤️
