Isa a.s known as Jesus in the Christian tradition, is one of the greatest messengers of Allah in Islam. The Qur’an presents his life as a miraculous sign, beginning with his extraordinary birth to Maryam. Maryam was a righteous and chosen woman, and Allah announced to her that she would bear a son despite having been untouched by any man. Isā was therefore born miraculously by Allah’s command, just as Adam was created by Allah’s command. From his earliest moments, Isá l was a servant and prophet of Allah. The Qur’an records him declaring, “Indeed, I am the servant of Allah. He has given me the Scripture and made me a prophet” (19:30). Allah gave him the Injil and made him a messenger to the Children of Israel, confirming the Torah that came before him (3:48- 50). His mission was not to call people to worship himself, but to worship Allah alone: “Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. This is the straight path” (3:51). Allah supported Îsa a with extraordinary miracles. He spoke while still an infant, healed those born blind and those suffering from leprosy, brought the dead back to life by Allah’s permission, and formed a bird from clay that became alive by Allah’s permission (3:49; 5:110). These miracles demonstrated his prophethood and Allah’s power, not divinity. Isā a.s called the Children of Israel back to sincere obedience to Allah. He confirmed the Torah and taught people wisdom, righteousness, worship, and devotion to their Creator. He had devoted disciples who supported his mission, declaring, “We are supporters of Allah” (3:52). According to the Qur’an, ‘Isă be was neither killed nor crucified. Rather, Allah raised him to Himself (4:157-158). Islam therefore rejects the claim that Îsā si was God or the son of God while honoring him as the Messiah, a miraculous sign, and one of Allah’s greatest messengers. Muslims believe in his miraculous birth, his revelation, his miracles, his message, his protection by Allah, and his eventual return before the Day of Judgment. #fyp #jesuschrist #muslim #bible #intertextuality
