I was thinking he did that to humble her too. With 4, her 4th solo album, she was very empowered. Then she came out with Beyonce, self titled and it was a very sexual album but she said she wasn’t really being intimate and was spending more time with her daughter. I think he didn’t like how confident and successful she was. He wanted to knock her down a bit. That and he just felt like it.
