This. I was making more money at one point and paid for a lot bc he’s genuinely a good man, communicates, and loves me. I even went and helped him at work so he could get off early so we could go on a date. Now he’s making more money than me and spoils me with trips, gives me $1,000 here and there, paid for my parents stuff too, etc. If you can’t stay with a good man just bc he’s not there yet financially, you don’t deserve him at his highest. I love this man with my whole heart, he’s my best friend. I’d do it all over again and again. Grow together, make money together!!

I met my husband when he was 23. I was 19 & recognized that we were both still kids. I watched him struggle with only a couple hundred dollars in his bank account. I never left his side. I would DoorDash with him to help him make extra money, help him study to find his dream job, give him time alone to get everything together… 5 years later, we are married & have a beautiful home together. He is growing in his job as a software engineer, the job he studied day & night for. The best thing I ever did was stay by his side & support him. Watching him grow has been a highlight of my life.

Going through the comments, I don’t doubt that some females mean the normal planning dates, the opening the door, the tulips/ roses/ flowers even if it’s a $10 one, the movies, the deep talks and a view. However unfortunately social media has really confused society on what it really means to chase & be in love, and realistically. — Jesus & the Bible will give you the real truth on what love looks like. Not social media guys.. Trust in him & the right man or woman will come. Remain patient. Don’t rush. Learn from heartbreak. Remain present & really enjoy even the smallest of dates. This comes from a dude who’s dated some very great looking women, has given the fancy dates, and I’m still single taking my time after 4 years of being single. So just enjoy the process of what it is to feel like you’re falling in love. The truth is; if you can’t afford to even buy your crush/ girl flowers ($10-$25), view point date. Then your priorities aren’t in the right place, and get to work. Soon you will realize you’ll be up financially & be able to. Man I could go on but hope yall understand. Peace & love.

When I mean by he wanted too he would I mean more like: if he wanted to make me cards.. if he wanted to show me he loves me by planning a date he would… like the movies and Chinese take out… if he wanted to show me he loves me by sending my small flowers with a card he would… if he wanted to show me he loves me by being there for me at times of sadness he would… and same goes for me if she wanted too she would… love doesn’t equal $$ but it’s how you express it… we’re both getting our shit tg… if he wanted to take me somewhere expensive bc he knew I’d like it and he did it with love he would… if he wanted to gift me a coach bag bc he thought of me he would… but it’s not a requirement… he’s not an atm but I’m also not a sex doll….
