@hoebrand7: 🕊️💔 HIP-HOP PIONEER ROB BASE HAS DIED AT 59 — R.I.P. 🙏🏾 Hip-hop is mourning the loss of Rob Base, the legendary rapper best known for the 1988 classic “It Takes Two.” Base passed away at the age of 59 following a private battle with cancer. Born Robert Ginyard, Base rose to fame alongside DJ E-Z Rock, creating one of the most recognizable records from hip-hop’s early crossover era. “It Takes Two” became a hip-hop staple that continued to live through movies, commercials, samples and generations of fans. 🎤 Base’s family remembered him not only for his music, but as a loving father, family man, friend and creative force whose impact won’t be forgotten. His longtime musical partner DJ E-Z Rock passed away in 2014, making this another heartbreaking loss from the legendary duo. 🕊️ 🙏🏾 Rest in peace Rob Base. Thank you for helping create a soundtrack that will live forever. #RIPRobBase #RobBase #ItTakesTwo #DJEZRock #HipHop
