Ill break it down kindly, as I worked at a dealership. Rotation of tires every oil change, is to help even wear and tear. If you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle, and you pop a tire, you will need all 4 new tires, unless you can find someone kind enough to shave down one tire, to where the other tires are. Reason being, 4 wheel drive, puts individual power to each tire. So, if you put a new tire, with more tread than the other 3, it can cause transmission issues, due to causing a inbalance in power to tires. Hope this helps anyone! 🫶
