Women tend to be massively let down by doctors when in pain, told it’s in their head. They learn to live with it for years. We tend to function at a pain scale that would put most men on their knees. Hence why tattoos don’t bother us so much.

i got an epidural and had a contraction during it. at the end the anaesthetist said "that is the most still i have ever seen anyone during a contraction" YOU SAID DON'T MOVE! we won't move if moving is bad for us. possible paralysis? I'm not moving. stuffing up my tattoo? I'M NOT MOVING!

For my first ever tattoo, I walked into a studio and there was already a man getting his tattoo done and a woman who had just finished her tattoo. I was early so I sat down and instantly was scared for my life because the man was screaming bloody murder. The woman realized I was terrified because again this is my first tattoo. She says, "you'll be fine, men are babies". I thought she was exaggerating. Nope, I literally feel asleep. Her tattoo was on her ribs, mine was on my calf and his was on his thigh.

I did great and was chill with all my tattoos........ except for one. I have one that covers all most the entire top of my foot. That one....... that one definitely made me feel like a little bitch😂

was getting the back of my hand done and I was dying, the woman in the next bed was having a massive piece on the back of her calf and not a squeak. you're 100% right.

I also think part of it is if being acceptable to act loudly and voice pain or discomfort in public. Women learn from a young age to put on a smile, and act happy. Men are allowed to be loud about how they feel

I was sleeping while getting my neck tattooed and a man getting his forearm tattooed was like “how the fuck is she sleeping right now “ buddy . I had a C-section and they refused to give me anything other than Tylenol because they didn’t believe that I was allergic to hydrocodone and I refused to take it . Then when I threw up from the pain they finally gave me something different . Major abdominal surgery and they gave me Tylenol .

A tattoo is like a 1-6 on a pain scale of 10. My periods are an 11 and I have to do shit all day while silently crying.
