I hope this lady was fired and her license revoked or something because this is not how you treat people. especially somebody that just went through fucking hell giving birth to a child. this is the reason why more people are leaning towards having home births or birthing centers because of doctors like this that don't give a shit about birth plans. If you don't care about your patience, then you shouldn't be a doctor

i didn't have to ask for delayed cord clamping they automatically did it and waited until it was white and even asked for permission to clamp before doing so

yeah my on/gyn told me that it’s only for premature babies bc they need more, and that it does nothing for fully healthy baby and was trying to tell me no point in waiting

it’s standard at my hospital as long as it’s safe. had my baby at 30 weeks he was 1lb 12oz and they STILL delayed it because he was crying and fine

I told my midwife I wanted delayed corn clamping and golden hour and didn’t want my baby to leave the room unless he needed nicu care and she looked at me and agreed and stated it was the standard policy for the hospital. That’s how it should be
