@hustlersnthehood: When Jalen Brunson signed with the Knicks in 2022, his dad Rick joined the coaching staff that same summer. People said that's how he got the deal and called him a nepo baby. His mom Sandra saved every one of those comments. She's sent Jalen a message before every game for 15 years. It started in high school, when his dad left for a coaching job in North Carolina. The night before each game she printed out a few words and taped them to his bathroom mirror, the fridge and his lunch bag. In college the notes became texts, and they never stopped.
