i get this a ton, a friend of mine that knows im trans says its a mindset or something i cant fully remember what he had said but he would always call me she and i let him because i knew him for 2 years(i let very few ppl call me she and its always private) so i had to tell him to never call me she again and we had a whole argument abt it😕

been there before. i know it could be nerve wracking to correct them but you've gotta just get mad at them over it, people that blatantly inconsiderate and ignorant need it hammered into their skull before they even attempt to make a change. gain the confidence to stick up for yourself, be persistent with pointing it out. you deserve all the best. <3

My ex friend btw (he’s a trans man) who knew I was transmasc. This was in a conversation where I mentioned I had my period, and people were confused cause they didn’t know I was trans and they thought they were missgendering me. I think he should know better than to say this stuff, especially since he only ever saw me as a woman

i've always made it clear to people i meet online that i am non binary ((hopefully)) and that i prefer they/them pronouns but some people don't learn. i try to clarify most times but it gets exhausting to the point that i have no choice but to tolerate them disrespecting my identity

Back when I met my old friend in 6th grade he made it his MISSION to call me my deadname and she/her and girl even when I was OPENLY TRANS I don’t know why I was friends with him until 10th grade :(
