He sounds great! So much potential! Glad hes in lessons cause he has such a future! Some suggestion from a random internet stranger. Stand tall on 2 legs firmly planted with slight bend in knee! You can see the vein in his neck indicating strain/reaching for notes. Hes shaping his sound with his throat rather than support. Opening his vowels on “fly” and “highest” and “soaring” instead of closing them off will help. Vowels are your friends and we should always sing on vowels rather than closing them off by going to the consonants. Watch them diphthongs! You can also see his shoulders bouncing. Thats alignment and breathing technique. Breath support starts in the diaphragm and stomach. Think up, out , fill. Up= soft pallet raised. Out= engage diaphragm. Fill= fill the stomach with air. Chest should be relaxed along with shoulders. Only movement is engagement of diaphragm and stomaching moving out rather than up. It should feel like breaths you take while sleeping. Super relaxed and in and out rather than up and out. Like a balloon held just under some water. Its so tricky specially if you are not used to that feeling. With proper breath support you should be able to physically feel the diaphragm firm. Then imagining a string pulling you belly button to the end of you back. Breath support comes from a ton of back muscles. And you will notice a sudden change in how much more breath you have. The hardest thing for any young singer to learn is proper breath support. But once you get it. It makes singing so much easier and healthier. Either way this kids future is bright and once he learns technique he will be unstoppable!! Oh accompany on piano is also killing it!!
