U go to clubs every few days and spend what some people don’t have on drugs and alcohol.. it’s the same argument you’re using. Someone who can afford to have a beer or buy a non necessity from the supermarket isn’t a morally egregious person just because another person can’t afford those things… if u want change, stop voting for stupid party’s like green, labor or Tory. Boycotting tescos on a random day and expecting everyone else to as well is narcissistic, selfish and pointless

I’ve asked many people the same question about this. I’m all for solidarity and food prices are ridiculous but no one can explain what boycotting supermarkets for one day will do. I just get called “ignorant” or told I should “know” what will happen but I genuinely don’t know and I’m not saying this in an ignorant way I’m genuinely asking what will it do? Takings won’t be affected because daily takings will just increase the day before/after. There are blue light workers who may only have that 1 day to shop and now they’re being made to feel guilty. Parents may get paid that day and need supplies for their baby. Making a stand is needed but this is not the way to do it because we are the only ones who are inconvenienced plus all the food waste lost that day. I’m sorry but to me it doesn’t make any sense.

these people are crazy like how is it that much of an inconvenience for you not to go to the supermarket for one day😭 like you will survive and you can just go the day before if you desperately need something! & it’s on a random weekday not even a weekend when most people do their weekly shop, of course i’m going to do my part and if it ends up doing nothing then so what atleast there was an effort!

This is so true. You can decide to help people in whatever way you can. I am a university student and I’m lucky enough that my parents give me a pretty comfortable allowance, so every week I make sure to donate to either greenpeace or charities supporting the homeless or education of children. People forget that just bc you can’t afford a Chanel bag doesn’t mean you’re broke and you still have the means to help someone less privileged by you. Even if you donate £10 a week that’s £520 donated and that can really help someone less privileged
