@veganftanimals: Yayyyyy 🎉🥳 Thank you @Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani 🙌💛 Repost: Victory for horses in New York City! 🐴After years of advocacy, NYC has passed a historic bill setting the city on a path to end horse-drawn carriages. This landmark victory moves NYC toward a safer, kinder future for horses who should never have to navigate crowded city streets. Thank you to everyone who spoke up, took action and refused to give up on these horses. #protectanimals #protecthorses #nyc #banhorsecarriages #horses

This restores my faith in humanity… just a little bit!

Mistydawn :

Yeah but now that those horses have no job, they will end up in the glue factory. Its never a win for the animals unless there are guardrails and rules that must apply after.

Jeb :

I understand Mamdani is being mindful of the carriage drivers finding new work, but the horses continue to suffer until 2028 when this ban goes into effect. There should be a better way to end the horses suffering now. 💔
