In college…the hardest part was getting to class. Once you’re there, might as well stay and learn something. Now if this survey had been emailed while I was still in my dorm in bed, I would probably vote differently…

The cool part about college is …. You can skip class if you don’t want to have class.

I’d be mad if I drove/commuted to class just for half my class to vote to get it canceled.

The adult in me says, “why cancel class? I’m paying for my education”. The tired student in me says, “I want a break”. 😂

I mean I can love the class all I want but if I’m given the option to cancel class I’m going to vote cancel

as someone who drove 1.5 hours to get to campus every day while in college, if I showed up and my one class of the day was cancelled because of this, I would have been livid

But this is a college class. I paid money to be here. The tests don't get easier because I got 1 less day of instruction.

When I was in my under grad I wanted classes to be canceled. In my grad program if class was canceled or the professor came unprepared I had calculated how much each class had cost me (roughly $100 each day muliply that by the number of pupils) and I was livid they had wasted my money. I wasn't there for a degree I wanted an education and they squandered it and thought I'd be happy.

As an undergraduate I would have cancelled. When I was a grad student I calculated how much I was paying per hour of class time and they better not cancel class.

Half the class is there to actually get an education you paid for. The other half is there for the piece of paper you get after 4 years. In undergrad I was the latter. In law school I was the former.
