Areas included in the watch are Archuleta, Dolores, La Plata, Montezuma, San Juan, and San Miguel Counties in Colorado, along with San Juan County in Utah. Atmospheric conditions are favorable for the development of severe thunderstorms capable of producing: 🌬️ Damaging wind gusts up to 70mph 🧊 Large hail up to 1.5" in diameter 🌪️ A tornado or two possible ⚡ Frequent cloud-to-ground lightning 🌧️ Torrential downpours with localized flooding concerns 🚗 Dangerous travel conditions due to reduced visibility While not every location will experience severe weather, residents across the watch area should remain alert and closely monitor forecasts, radar trends, and any warnings that may be issued later today.
