@whoyoucallingold: Veteran actor Tom Skerritt died on October 21 at 93 years old from natural causes, according to his family. Thank goodness for that and that he wasn’t ill. Over more than six decades, Tom became a familiar face in famous hits such as Top Gun, Alien, Steel Magnolias, MAS*H, Ice Castles and A River Runs Through It, and won an Emmy for Picket Fences. Before Hollywood, he served in the U.S. Air Force. Years later, he co-founded the Red Badge Project with former Army Captain Evan Bailey. The goal is to give soldiers a continued feeling of purpose and means by which to be heard and understood through their own voice. His final film credit was Broke, released in 2025. With over 170 film and television productions to his credit, for many of us, his face and soft, sweet smile brings back a favorite movie, a favorite scene, or a time in our lives. Rest peacefully, Tom. #Actor #RIP #Memories #Nostalgia #Throwback
