You’ve got this! While I was in LABOR, I told my abusive (now ex) husband that we were done. He was unable to show up and support me, he was creating a scene and was threatened by hospital security to be removed, I allowed him to stay, but was clear that we were done.

My husband and I started saving money for a house 10 years ago. 4 years ago he started drinking again and shortly after wrapped his car around a telephone pole. The divorce papers were waiting for him when he got home from the hospital. I wasn't about to stop trying to buy a house. We currently still live with my now ex husband. Are kids were still young when we first got divorced and childcare isn't for us and again, I wasn't going to spend our next egg on that. We worked opposite shifts and continued to live in the same home and be there for our kids. I am still trying to buy a house. I am currently waiting for approval on a home from Habitat for Humanity.

I was a single mom for 13 years. It wasn’t easy but damn being a HAPPY, strong, independent mom that showed her kids she knew her worth and deserved better was so rewarding. Baby you got this. I promise it gets better. And your kiddos will love you for it.
