@ivy_roadmap: Top schools shouldn’t admit students who don’t know basic math. Top schools like UCSD and Harvard have implemented remedial math classes. Why? Because of test optional, students no longer needed to score well on SAT math. So there was no standard to check how qualified their math abilities are. Now that test required is back (for most schools) it’s more important than ever to score well on the SAT. Need help? Just use @whiz.study to prep. How in the world did the UC’s retain its ranking when this has been disclosed and appears to be widespread at all the campuses?

this is a fault on high schools too. They just want to let kids graduate and have the A+. You guys say bring back SATs but that puts a bandage on a huge wound.

Mr. Smartpants :
Grade inflation has gone insane. I know some white guy in caltech who isn’t able to do basic math skills. They ask mid lecture how 1/2 + 1/2 =1 1. Like are we serious right now. I feel my school prestige is coming down as a result of rich white men paying to enter.
