No the CAUSE OF DEATH was the trauma from the accident. Alcohol was a leading factor to the cause of the accident.

there is a book called "Mathilda Savitch." she lost her sister to suicide. the story is told from a 12 year old perspective. her older sister killed herself. Matilda tells everyone that her sister was pushed in front of a train. we dont find it out towards the end.

My dad died last year in a single vehicle accident. He drove through a corn field and two soy bean fields before he landed in a pond. His cause of death is drowning, not the four double shots of bourbon he took in less than hour before attempting to drive home. I miss him so bad. I’m also so angry that alcoholism won.

My dad died in 2016 and his death certificate says blunt force trauma due to chronic ethanol use. He was drunk and he got into a fight with his mistress and stormed out. He tripped on a bunch of tangled hoses in the drive way and fell on his face. His nose punctured his brain. They labeled it blunt for trauma due to chronic ethanol use…. My alcoholic brothers still say that his alcoholism didn’t kill him. 🥺

If people could be more honest with themselves and others we could try and fight it! I had to tell my mother at 21 she’s fucking killing me with everything she’s putting me through. It took another 10 years but she finally got sober and we had a conversation and she told me that she thinks of what I said to her a lot.
