It seems like a waste of a movie for the dcu, if you're not gonna world build Gotham A LOT, and not even show batman or Bruce Wayne, it seems like a waste of time, like why even make the movie atp, if it's not gonna lead to anything bigger.

1) this was a great way to introduce Gotham and show there are smaller stories within the city, Batman can’t cover it all and there are more tragedies than the Wayne Family 2) he didn’t just jump into killing people he was acc shocked when he killed his old manager on accident as he learned more about the people who wronged him he learned more about his powers 3) we don’t need to watch a whole 25-30 minute rise of Matt Hagen then yall would say the pacing is bad we see him on YT videos giving speeches, we see him at the Oscar’s, we see him on red carpets, we even see he was a a big deal in coast city 4) just saying him killing her husband is “dumb” isn’t a valid criticism the action seems contradictory but Clayface Matt Hagen isn’t a rational man at this point we literally see this when he’s talking to himself in the mirror and we see this at the end when he’s loving himself.
