Saudi Arabia in 1928 buy the man Saudi who was a merchant after fighting thise were destabilizing the Arab area because of who will kead Islam after the prophet died. When he pushed those who wanted Fatimah's husband to take over instead the man who was with the prophet almost all his life. He handed over the running of the mosque and every ritual done in Islam to the reigious ppl and took over the administration of the areas and ppl he was able to put together. That is how his name Saudi was name after that area ,Because he was and educated merchant who dealt with the westerners he educated his children very well while he was king. He being a smart guy saw the business side of the Hajj and began modernization of mecca by breaking down many old structures to build hotels, restuarants and guest houses. After his death his children also continued , zamzam the spring water that ppl use to go and fetch freely , the recognized the opportunity to monetize it started packaging and selling it. They have a beautiful administration system in Saudi, they change imams every two yrs, the ppl who wanted to run the traditions and rituals of the mosque are still doing their thing not believing in western education but the old way of doing things. I like how they are co existing peacefully without any conflicts, that is the religious ppl and the Saudi monarchy because they have and still making changes i don't believe the religious ppl agree with everything.
