@6abcactionnews: The City of Glendale in California deployed 200 grazing goats to reduce wildfire fuel within high fire hazard zones in the city. According to Glendale Fire Department, the goats marked their fifth year of deployment where they help clear grasses, weeds, and other vegetation in areas with significant natural fuel. “Goats are a valuable wildfire mitigation tool because they can navigate steep, challenging terrain while naturally reducing vegetation and excess fuel,” the department said on social media. Video from the source shows the horde of goats on a hillside munching on bushes.
