@maddy.universe: According to OSP, a preliminary investigation revealed a driver in a 2016 Nissan Rogue was traveling northbound and slowed to turn left when her vehicle was hit from behind by a 2011 Freightliner truck traveling north. The impact of the crash caused the Nissan Rogue to travel off the west side of the road. Debris from the crash hit a southbound Ford F-150, causing minor damage. The driver of the Nissan Rogue died from her injuries. She has been identified as 60-year-old Debbie Westfall, of Lynchburg. The 17-year-old driver of the Freightliner had minor injuries. The driver of the F-150 was not hurt. The road was closed for the investigation but has since reopened. The crash remains under investigation.
