@fourtwelve.us: 🚨 BREAKING NEWS ⚠️ A psychological evaluation has been requested for Elijah Hemingway, the man charged in the killing of UPMC pediatric critical care doctor Idris Evans. 🚨 Hemingway was due in court Tuesday on a separate burglary case from February, but the hearing didn’t happen after his public defender asked for the evaluation, per WPXI. A hearing is expected next month. If he’s later found incompetent, a legal analyst says the case could be delayed longer while he gets treatment. Hemingway is charged with homicide in the Sept. 24 stabbing of Dr. Evans at his Edgewood home. He’s also charged with burglary and other counts, and the charges are allegations.
