@clovermeadeponies: We start bathing foals with the hose at a slower pace than some. In the summer, we usually give a few sponge baths on hot days, but we don't push a hose bath unless a foal seems ready for it. Today, Chai and Cocoa had been running around and he seemed ready for the experience. It took about 30 seconds for him to go from being afraid of the hose to enjoying the spray. Cocoa was a great example, which helped the process immensely. In the future, we are hoping to install a mister on our run in for the summer, which should make bath training a breeze. #foal #colt #ponies #horse #horsetraining
