@kimberlypiper.com: Stone crab season just opened in Southwest Florida… Oct 15th - April 30th! Why does a claw cost more than lobster? I grew up on Pine Island … all the seafood I wanted for free. My dad was a commercial crabber on the island — he’d cook the claws every single day, and I totally took it for granted back when I was a teenager! Now I pay fifty bucks a pound for the same claws…. 🫣🙄🤑 And here’s the part nobody tells you — the crabbers only take the claw… Throw the crab back, happy & healthy - well minus one claw … it regrows! It actually regenerates the claw in a short amount of time!
