@fosterparenting: Here’s what it may look like in your foster home if you are caring for a baby who has experienced trauma. Feel free to add in the comments so caregivers can be prepared #fosterparent #fostercare #fosterbaby
I’m no expert but there’s prob more underlying going on than just trauma that should really be addressed by specialists

kids like this should be placed with loving homes permanently. if their parents did this to them they should not be allowed near kids

I talk about this when I do my trauma trainings, the neurological impact of trauma on infants is so significant!

So this feels like parenting at the “pro” level. Can you talk about foster parents who have never raised bio kids?

Have you ever delt with babies who’s parents were on dr#gs their whole pregnancy? Me and my husband plan to adopt a little girl with those issues

sometimes we would let the dog gently lick the babies toes and they would start to giggle then they would eat then fall asleep

How often do you get a baby through foster care? Me and my wife are thinking about pursuing something like this or either adoption or foster care.

this was pretty much my daughter for the first few months she was with us except for the appetite. she couldn't get enough formula. she would come out of every visit dripping with sweat and her voice would be hoarse. I miss her being small but I don't miss how hard it was for her
