We learned to say “no thank you friend” when a tot is doing something we don’t want them to be doing.. it’s been almost 4 years away from that job and I still say it to residents at my work sometimes 🤣😭 my ex husband HATEDDD it

And yet, we are supposed to teach kids about consent and that no is a complete sentence. How are we supposed to do that if we don’t teach them how to accept our no? I am SO glad the daycare I work at does not practice this. Not just because it would be so hard to implement, but also because I genuinely do not see how it is beneficial to children.
