Inside the Cathedral Cave, natural light streams through openings in the high ceiling, illuminating ornate Hindu shrines and intricate carvings that depict scenes from Hindu mythology. The entire complex is set within ancient limestone hills, estimated to be around 400 million years old, providing a dramatic natural backdrop to the spiritual artistry. The area is also home to a playful population of macaque monkeys, adding a lively element to the natural surroundings.
