after 2 years of my L3-S1 lumbar fusion, my quality of life has improved 100% for the best. Good luck with this new procedure, recovery time is long but the key here is a good surgeon and physical therapy.

Are you totally healthy for the surgery? My surgery is on October 30 but they’re still a very very strong discussion in regards to my heart being able to handle it especially because I have uncontrolled diabetes.

I no longer have pain with short walks and short periods of standing. The recovery is difficult but worth it.

If you can avoid or get 2nd opinion. 3 years post spinal fusion and it was botched then had repair surgery and haven’t had a single day of pain free and have nerve damage since those surgeries and going for MRI next week because ortho saying I need another because my cage doesn’t look like placed right anymore. Yay lol if you go through with it. Prayers all goes well and for speedy recovery ❤️‍🩹

I'm 3 months post lamenectomy with instrumented fusion from severe spinal stenosis. My nerve pain is gone, and I'm about to begin physical therapy now that I'm able to resume bending, twisting and lifting. I'm walking well and can stand with ease. I'm glad I took the plunge and had surgery. Things were only going to get worse if I didn't. I put my trust in God and my surgical team to successfully get me thru the surgery with a positive outcome. My back continues to heal, but so far, I'm pleased with my results. I wish you all the best! 😊

Mine was the best solution! I had an amazing surgeon. I would 100% do it again. Things you need: satin pj's, a squirrel bottle for the potty, a stepstool fpr your bed. I have a whole liat on Amazon if you want it, full of stuff that saved my life!

I’m 4wks post op today! I would do it again! It’s helped a lot, in many ways. It’s made me more aware of my posture, and keeping good posture. (My hips like to tilt forward, so I’m constantly tilting them back.

I had L5-S1 posterior and anterior alif surgery in January and c4-c7 acdf surgery in August and I feel like a new person. Don't get me wrong recovering from the lumbar spine surgery was a very painful process for the first two weeks, but the cervical surgery recovery wasn't bad at all even though it was a level 3. I didn't have much pain at all.
