@ktvu2: What a harrowing ordeal for this climber and rescuers alike. While the climber reached the summit of Mount Shasta, it was on his way down that he broke his leg at 12,000 feet. He was reached by U.S. Forest rangers who treated him for his broken leg, hypothermia and frostbite. But due to bad weather, they had to spend a night on the glacier. A Marin County search and rescue team, along with others, then got involved and everyone made it back down safely.
