If your cats water is getting slimy, maybe take them to the vet and change their water more cause I change my cat water every morning and every night and sometimes in the middle of the day if needed and it’s never slimy

Don’t over scrub your AVERAGE cat bowls though. It can break down the material and cause bacteria to get stuck. Clean it every now and then, just rinsing with hot water and soap. No harsh chemicals or scrubbing.

My cat is too scared to use the fountains, I tried. I wash my cat bowl twice a day, then refill with filtered water. No issues on my end.
