@whiteopalhairco: a little over a year ago @aleks_heals_in_style was in my book for her every 8 week foil and she texted me to cancel. She was supposed to be my last client before my maternity leave with Ivy. It was so out of character for her to cancel her foils my intuition knew something was wrong but I didn’t ask any questions I just said a silent prayer. Stylists know what intuition i’m talking about. A few months later I had found out she was diagnosed with a rare cancer. My heart broke into pieces for her but I knew if anyone had what it took to come out on the other side of this it was her- and she did just that. When she reached out to me a couple weeks ago mentioning she wanted to go back blonde i said SAY NO MORE!!!!! It’s situations like this that truly put into perspective how special our industry is. The ability to make someone feel BETTER. To uplift someone’s entire life. To connect with your client so deeply that you can tell when something isn’t right. It’s the beauty industry for me. It’s the fight for stupid fucking cancer for me. I just had to do my first shave(because of fuckass cancer ) 😞🙏🏼 just two days ago and the cancer center did give her a wig but it’s synthetic and better than nothing but it’s terrible so as soon as I can afford to I’m buying her a nice wig ,I just pray I get to see her win the fight and grow her hair back as well 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼I love this for your beautiful client 🩷🩷❤️‍🩹
