After reaching the tiny platform at the very top, the corroded ladder collapses behind them, stranding them 2,000 feet above the ground with no cell reception, minimal water, and a dropped backpack. As dehydration sets in, the women use limited tools—like a drone and a flare gun—to signal for help, but every attempt fails. Tensions rise when Becky discovers a secret affair between Hunter and Dan prior to his death. Mid-way through their ordeal, Hunter attempts a risky climb down to retrieve their backpack from a lower satellite dish. Though Becky believes Hunter made it back up, she later realizes through a moment of clarity that Hunter actually fell to her death during the retrieval, and Becky has been hallucinating her presence due to severe dehydration and shock. To send a text message for help, Becky must descend to the dish where Hunter's body lies, place her phone inside Hunter's shoe, and push the body off the tower so the impact transmits the signal upon reaching the ground with cell service. Her father receives the location text, leading emergency services to rescue a surviving Becky.
