It‘s cause we don’t need money. We have enough resources to feed, house and clothe everyone. Yet billions live paycheck to paycheck while the richest 1% hoard unimaginable wealth. Our food is full of pesticides, our clothes are made of plastic, and our phones rely on exploited workers and minerals mined under horrific conditions. The people doing the hardest work get the least, while corporations make billions. We have the technology, the resources and soon the robots to produce what we need. So why are we still forced to spend our lives working just to afford to exist? We can’t eat money. We can’t live inside money. Money is something WE created. Why are we letting it control our entire existence?
