"You pretend you don't care, but I know you're dying inside seeing me with Christine." ​"You left me high and dry back then, so don't act like the victim now," he spat coldly. "You brought every single bit of this coldness onto yourself." ​ Before you could respond, his phone buzzed loudly in his pocket. Gabriel pulled it out with his free hand and answered immediately, placing it on speaker. Christine’s desperate voice echoed through the room. "Gabriel! Please come to the downtown bar right now... There are these creepy guys bothering me, and I really need you!" ​ Gabriel never left his eyes off you as he spoke to her in a sweet tone.
