@peralta.collectiv: The government wants to limit big investors from buying single-family homes. 🏡 Could this help everyday Americans afford a home? A new Treasury proposal reported October 22 targets institutional investors purchasing single-family homes, with a proposed start date of January 7, 2027, and certain exceptions. Supporters may see this as a way to create more opportunities for everyday homebuyers. Critics may question how much it would affect home prices, housing supply, and rental markets. ⚠️ Important: This is a proposal, not a blanket rule currently in effect. 💬 DEBATE: Should large institutional investors be restricted from buying single-family homes, or should the market remain open to all buyers? 👇 Comment “RESTRICT” or “KEEP IT OPEN.” #HousingMarket #RealEstateNews #Homeownership #HousingAffordability #Investing

Mary :
When I bought my first house, there was a two-week clause where no investors could bid on it. It had to be my primary residence, and I had to agree to that, and it was in the term of my mortgage and everything. There should be standard. A house should be on a market for at least 30 days before it’s an investment property
