@sabrinabutlersmit: Tommy Lee Walker was just 21 years old when the state of Texas executed him for a crime he did not commit. In 1953, Tommy was accused of the rape and murder of Venice Parker. But Tommy maintained his innocence and had an alibi supported by multiple witnesses. He said he was with his pregnant girlfriend as she gave birth to their son. Despite this, he was convicted by an all-white jury and sentenced to death. After hours of interrogation, Tommy had signed a confession that he later tried to take back. The case was deeply affected by racial bias, unreliable evidence, and serious failures of justice. On May 12, 1956, Tommy was executed in the electric chair. His final words were that he was innocent. Nearly 70 years later, on January 21, 2026, Dallas County officially declared Tommy Lee Walker innocent. But that acknowledgment came decades too late. Tommy never got the chance to walk free, grow old, or watch his son grow up. Justice came too late for Tommy Lee Walker. His story must never be forgotten. 🎥 Full video on YouTube: “Dallas set to exonerate man wrongfully executed for murder in 1956” — CBS Texas #fyp #deathpenalty

marleegamez :
racism is so dumb they rather keep the killer on the street just to see a black person hurt.

My cousin FRANKIE CARRILLO was also convicted of a murder he did not commit. Everyone in the 🚓 knew he was innocent, but he was still convicted at the age of 16, he was found innocent n released at 36....he could of gotten out earlier, if only he would sign a paper omitting to the murder, he refused, so they held him for 20yrs knowing he was innocent...His story is on NETFLIX....

some good that does him now & so many like him that went through the same misjustice, Concerning us the system of justice was always broken. Even now people that should be in prison, & criminals such as those in law enforcement & politics go unpunished.
