One of the most common questions we get at Pink Lemon Studio is: “How many Beginner Pole classes do I need to take before moving up to Pole 2?” The honest answer? There’s no magic number! And no, taking one Beginner class doesn’t automatically mean you’re ready for Pole 2 😉 Everyone starts somewhere different, and everyone progresses at their own pace. Here are a few things to keep in mind: ✨ Your starting point matters. If you’re brand new to fitness, strength training, and body awareness, you may spend a year or longer building your foundation in Beginner Pole. That’s completely okay! Our beginner classes are designed to be accessible, regardless of your previous fitness experience. ✨ Your consistency matters. Someone who attends classes 3–4+ days a week will naturally have more opportunities to practice and develop their skills than someone who can only make it once or twice a month. Neither is wrong! We all have different schedules, responsibilities, and priorities. ✨ Your previous experience matters. If you have a background in gymnastics, dance, climbing, or another physical activity that develops strength, coordination, and body awareness, some pole movements may come more naturally to you. ✨ Your training style matters. Private lessons and additional strength, flexibility, and conditioning classes can also help you develop skills outside of your regular pole classes. 💗 This isn’t about comparing your progress to someone else’s. It’s apples to oranges! Two students can start at the same time and progress at completely different rates, and both can be doing amazing. So, how do you know when you’re ready for Pole 2? It’s about more than how long you’ve been taking classes. You need to develop the foundational strength, technique, control, and understanding of beginner skills that will help you safely work toward more challenging movements. Our instructors are here to help guide you through that process. If you’re wondering whether you’re ready to level up, ask us! We can help you understand what you’ve mastered and what skills you may need to keep working on. 🍋 Remember: You’re not behind. You’re building a foundation. And that foundation is what helps you continue progressing, unlocking new skills, and feeling more confident on the pole. Your pole journey is YOURS. Enjoy it, trust the process, and celebrate the little wins along the way! 💖 #IntermediatePole #StLouisPoleDance #PoleFitness #PoleDanceJourney #BeginnerPole
