You’re a rose that been growing in the crevice of a sidewalk. It wasn’t you, it was no matter where you turned to share the senses a rose pleases the sidewalk answered you’re inconveniencing the sidewalk. The thing about a rose is that you can transplant a cutting to a whole new place where it’s loved, nourished, appreciated. The original rose did its job, strong enough to survive so the cutting could thrive. But the severing had to be scary, so was the second, so was the others. Then the garden started to bloom. 💗

As a child, “Sarah, Plain and Tall” was one of my favorite books. I had it as a book on tape as well, and would listen almost nightly to fall asleep. It was narrated by Glenn Close and it was perfection. To this day, at 48, I have an Audible copy of it and on occasion will listen. This has the same feeling. Peaceful, relaxing, and perfect. This is a compliment when I say I started to doze off listening as it relaxed me so much and given my perimenopausal awakened brain at 3 am, I’ll be saving this for those moments of needed sleep.
