@thehebertsworld: The sweetest words I heard during this year’s White Cane Day celebration were, “Look, Momma! She has a cane like me!” 🥹🤍 We spent Wednesday celebrating White Cane Day with Region 10 and it was such a beautiful reminder of why we moved to DFW. Before we even made it inside, a group of kids was getting off a bus when Molly excitedly said, “Mom! Those kids have canes like Sissy!” 😭 There’s something so special about seeing your child surrounded by other kids who navigate the world just like she does. Kids who share similar experiences and understand parts of her world in ways that others simply can’t. And the sweetest part? We left with a new little bestie who’s Madelynn’s age! 🥹💕 Finding a community of sweet friends and families who have walked a similar path is something we prayed for long before we moved here. Watching those prayers be answered, and seeing Madelynn find friendship and a sense of belonging, means more than I can put into words. 🤍
