I am no stranger to making pivots - icu nurse, content creator, developed an app, went into real estate (did I miss anything?!) While I’m never afraid to start over, there is always some uncertainty and discomfort that goes along with it. But what I’ve learned over the years is you’re never truly starting over. So much of what you’ve done in the past will benefit you as you move forward. Whether it’s a learning experience, a skill you developed, or whether it just gave you clarity on what you want for your next chapter. When I got my real estate license at the end of 2023, I didn’t get a paycheck for the first six months and I had completely stopped creating content for brands because I wanted to go all into real estate (I didn’t want to split my time between the two). I was working around 80 hours a week and honestly, it was absolutely brutal. Financially (and from a mental health standpoint), do not recommend (lol) but it really pushed me to see what I was capable of doing. I’m so glad I took a chance and bet on myself because I feel like I’ve genuinely found a career that checks so many boxes for me and has been incredibly fulfilling. And this isn’t just shoot pivoting careers. It’s about betting on yourself and knowing that if you put in the work (whether it’s your health, relationships, biz, etc) that there is really something really incredible on the other side 💫 — Hi 👋 For those who don’t know the backstory, I’m Claire. I started this account over 10 years ago in nursing school, then worked as an ICU nurse until 2019 and as a full-time content creator until 2023. I knew at that time I was meant to do something different, so I got my real estate license and closed $100m+ in less than three years, largely because I knew how to use social media strategically as a realtor. Now I also teach other agents how to use social to grow their pipeline. Reminder that you can always pivot. Nothing says you have to be who you were last year, or even yesterday xx CG Ps. If you’re a realtor, comment “SOCIAL” and I’ll send you my top 10 social media tips for agents to get started 🖤
