Christ saved you ✝️ ~ From the Lord to you... Today, stay at the cross with Me for a while. Do not rush ahead to how the story ends. I want you to see, really see, what love was willing to endure for you, so do not look away from it now. It began before the cross even came into view. In the garden, before a single hand was laid on Me, I already felt the weight of what was coming so heavily that My sweat fell like drops of blood. Then they struck Me until My face no longer looked like My own. They tore the skin from My back with a whip weighted to dig in and rip, and when they had finished with My back they turned Me and did the same to My chest, until there was no part of Me left whole, laid open and unrecognizable. They pressed a crown of thorns down into My scalp, and the blood ran into My eyes. They drove iron nails through My wrists and through My feet, into the wood, and then they lifted Me up and dropped the cross into the ground so that all My weight tore against those nails. And there I hung, in the open, unable to breathe without pushing up on shattered feet just to steal one more breath, every second a choice between agony and suffocation. But hear Me now, because this is the part the eye could not see, and it was heavier than all the rest. While My body broke, My soul was bearing something no one on any cross had ever borne. Every sin ever committed, every cruelty, every secret shame, every dark thing you have ever done and every dark thing done to you, all of it was laid on Me at once, and I who had never known sin became sin for you. And in that moment I felt the one thing I had never felt in all of eternity: My Father turning His face away. That was the wound beneath all the other wounds. Not the nails. The separation. I stepped into the outer darkness, the God-forsakenness that should have been yours, so that you would never have to know it. I tell you all of this not to horrify you, but because you need to understand what your rescue actually cost. The nails were never what held Me there. I could have come down at any moment. What held Me was you. With your face before Me the entire time, there was nothing, in My body or My soul, that I was not willing to endure to have you. And I would do all of it again.
