I would be so heartbroken if my baby did this. I have suffered and fought, cried and nearly gave up but I would do it all over again for my daughter. She’s my heart and soul, and I’d give up anything for her. She is my dreams, my goals, and I love her more than the world. Trust me as a mom, if they wanted this then they were a bad mother. At least in my opinion.

I work two jobs to make sure my mom gets to live her dreams. We’re taking that trip to Spain, walking that 300 mile hike, going to NYC for the first time, and anything else she picks. I’ll spend money on her before myself EVERY time 😭 👏

My mom could have been a marine biologist going to school in Miami. Then my dad got her pregnant and she gave up on the dream. They divorced when my brother was still young and life has been hard for her raising three kids. I know she loves us and tells us she regrets nothing but I just wish she could have lived her dream. She visited Hawaii last year and went snorkeling with sea turtles and sharks and stuff and said she had the most fun ever. I just wish she could have her dreams too. I know I won’t ever have mine.

As a mom in her 50s now, I look back at all the opportunities I missed out of fear and living in survival mode because I didnt have any family support. My daughter is 23, college educated, money in the bank, a nice place to live, a nice car. She is light years ahead of me at the same age. Being able to support her and watch her do what I couldnt has been an absolute dream. She is hands down my biggest accomplishment.

My mom’s story is so painful to hear compared to mine. I question all the time how she did it and had so much love in her. What if I walked through the door and she lived but didn’t find that love? Maybe I’m the love she needed
